COSC 511 Questions for April 19, 1999



1.  How do the recommendations of the NRC report match with existing
cryptography policy?  Look at each recommendation separately to see if
it has been implemented or not.

2.  What cryptography bills have been introduced into the House or
Senate since January 1999?  What is their status?

3.  Write down all the arguments for and against eliminating export

provide for government access to plaintext, either through a key
